My name is Brian Stanley, and I'm vice president and general counsel for a small oil and gas and investment company in Oklahoma City. I've been in this position for more than 20 years. I'm also the personal attorney for the family that owns the company, and I have a small private practice. Much of my tax-related work is in the area of estate planning, but I also do a fair amount of personal and corporate tax planning, usually teaming with our outside CPA for this. I've done a little compliance for individuals over the years, but nothing very complex.
