| This is my first attempt in communicating that I'm now a very happy new member on TaxAlmanac site! Not looking to be redundant in my communication, hopefully others can see my profile - again I'm not sure but if not, my user name is Want2Learn

| Hi, Want2Learn. Since you are not a tax professional, your participation on TaxAlmanac will really be limited to using the search capabilities (the yellow search box in the upper left corner of screen) to look for info that might be helpful to you in better understanding the issues you face either in completing your accounting degree or in your new business.
Other resources and links that might be helpful to you are shown on the top of the Consumer Questions Discussion Forum. As you can see by the discussions that have been moved to the Consumer Forum, the tax professionals who come to this site to interact with each other get and give advice will also help out non-professionals now and then, but often the situations that are presented are not the kind that can be answered in a quick post or two. You would be better served by seeking out a local tax professional who will have the opportunity to understand your entire business and/or tax situation and can provide both advice and follow-up. This is not simply a brush-off, it's because (a) simplistic answers to questions that are more complicated than you may even realize can be more dangerous than helpful to you, and (b) the users on this site actually make their living helping people set up accounting systems and do tax planning for their new businesses, and/or helping people with tax strategies and tax preparation, and thus they are not always inclined to do the same thing for free. If you do not yet have a tax preparer, you might find How to find a local Tax Professional to be helpful. | |

| I appreciate your candidness and will take your suggests to heart. I will not always be a student and the business which has come to life has favor! We are currently seeking professional assistance and have made headway. I certainly believe being informed is key to growth which is why I latched on to this site. As for now, I will stand on the sidelines but will definately keep a vigilent eye on what you all have to say. Be bless Trillium... | |
