My name is Dave. I consider myself an expert in personal income tax. I am trying to improve my skill in business tax like S-corp and C-corp. I have been in the tax preparation business for more than 10 years and I am now practicing in California. I hope I can contribute my knowledge in income tax area to this forum.

Non-recourse loans
Dave--In California, all ORIGINAL loans are non-recourse. If you refi, you probably will end up with a recourse loan. But all original loans are non-recourse. Hence my statement about maybe there is no COD.

End of the forum
You may have heard by now that the Tax Almanac ( www.taxalmanac.org ) web site forum is permanently closing its doors effective June 1. Perhaps you have seen the pink bombshell “Important Service Announcement” when logging in.
Long-time TA user ChrisV2 has volunteered to set up a new website where TA users may continue the discussion. The site is up and running now and has an active base of contributors.
