My boys go to Waldorf. The teaching methods are much different than other schools. I really like it.Natalie 20:53, 29 February 2008 (CST)Natalie

Yes, Waldorf is a private school. It was started by Rudolf Steiner in Germany. There are Waldorf schools throughout the U.S. and in other countries. My oldest is learning to play the violin, speak Japanese, Spanish and a little Hebrew and is learning about processing raw materials to make clothing and food (by actually doing it).Natalie 03:14, 1 March 2008 (CST)Natalie
On snakes
I think you can still find people here in GA that handle snakes. There used to be a storefront church in Rome GA that still did this! I don't know what part of the country you're from, but they can get crazy in the South. But, there's no truth to me doing it, I'm terrified of snakes, even with God's help!!!CrowJD 22:01, 29 February 2008 (CST)

You're welcome - us small folk have to stick together!
Thank you Pierce
I do truly thank you for your note and for the commonness of persons here. This is just a very difficult time for me and I am finding that each day is bringing forth a new drama. But all things (good and bad) come to an end...so I hope that this little black cloud over my head finds another place to dump some rain on...hehe
Yes, God is merciful and just...I am learning to just let it go and place it in his hands for now.
Thank you ever so much again!!

Your intro.
I like your introduction. It sounds like you live in a wonderful place with lots of space (something we don't have much here in Hawaii).Natalie 20:46, 5 March 2008 (CST)Natalie
Handwork article
I'm glad you found it useful. I actually just stumbled on it because I was looking for something for Fred to read. It's nice that your kids go to a school that is open to other ideas. I am truly concerned about the way kids are being taught today. There is such a big emphasis on how to take tests and very little on the arts, PE and skills side.Natalie 13:39, 7 March 2008 (CST)Natalie
best thing today
I wanted to share this with you because I thought you'd really appreciate it. My five year old and I were at an office building with a fish pond today. There were coins in the pond, and he asked why people throw their money in. I explained about wishes, and then he asked if he could have a penny. He seemed like he was having a hard time coming up with something to wish for, so I gave him the example of, "I wish we would have a nice bike ride today." After a moment he whispered in my ear, "I wish no one could be dead." He's really a very sensitive boy.Natalie 02:20, 18 March 2008 (CDT)Natalie
I'm not sure what you read that motivated you to post your comment, but thank you! Natalie 19:57, 21 March 2008 (CDT)Natalie
Montana!
Ohhhh, I love the country. Where is Pray without me looking? We make an annual trek to the Big Horn Mtns in Wyoming every year and prairie dog on the Powder River basis near Ft.Reno. Any dogs up your way? Jeff JR1 07:46, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
I could use a could laugh....
Pierce,
Boy, I could sure use a good laugh. I would love to see pig roping. Here's my personal e-mail address: tao.cpa@verizon.net.
I can say it's been really rough. I've not said too much on the board because I've been so depressed. My heart is broken over this. I can literally work only a few hours a day right now. It's very hard to wake up every day not knowing whether you are going to be okay or not. I've honestly given thought to retiring at 47, but I can't afford it nor will my disability policy consider me disabled.
The weather doesn't help at all. It's been so darn hot. I fade so quickly when I am outside even for 1/2 hour. I can't move since my wife's job is 20 minutes from here and we've lived in this community 40+ years.
Enough whining on my part. They have told me I will get better and I am in the early stages. I really hope so. I pray this is the worst of it.
Tom
Deleted your discussion
You asked if someone could delete your new chat discussion, and I could, so I did. You were the only one who'd posted to it, so it was completely up to you, as far as I was concerned. Although I didn't think it was rude or overly flip, IMHO.

Are you still out alive?
Haven't seen you around lately? Are you still here?

Hey there!
Hi Shawna,
I just reviewed my August post and noticed my title looks stupid! Oh well. I am actually doing much better now. I still have MS, obviously, but the medication I am on kicked in a few months back and life is a lot better. I struggled for over 1 1/2 years with medications, setbacks, migraines, etc., but now I fight mostly fatigue and balance issues. I stumble sometimes in front of people, which is embarrassing, but they know so it's not a huge deal.
The thing that bugged me the most is a client fired me over having MS. I made some errors on their return. I owned up to it, but I was sick as a dog. I am just bugged because almost all my clients are forgiving of me from last year due to my Mom dying and the fact my MS became more aggressive. This client, whom I cut a break to on the return, just cut and ran. It just pisses me off. I lost money on the return as a result.
I would be happy to contribute to the "Best Thing" thread. Go ahead and resurrect it!
Glad to hear the kids are excited about their calves. I don't know much about it, but if my uncles were around they would love it. They ran a pretty good size farm in Ireland.
Talk to you soon.
