Roth/Roth 401(k) contributions on same earned income
Hi Lynn, I want to thank you very much for your contributions to the thread I started. I was excited when you said the ProSystem fx does not allow the double contribution. I used ProSystem fx for many years because I consider them to be the gold standard when it comes to tax software. I am sure you are very busy, but is there any possibility that you could call ProSystem fx and ask them to explain why they did not allow the individual Roth in addition to the 401(k) Roth? Hi Lynn, You did not sign the message, but I believe you told me that you did check with ProSystem fx and the Roth IRA issue. Thank you VERY much! Too bad ProSystem fx would not supply additional information! So Lacerte treats it one way, and ProSystem fx another. One of them is wrong, and which means that there are taxpayers either contributing too much or not maxing out their contributions if they want to. Thank you again for your time.
