payroll standalone software

Happy tax,

Thank you very much for recommending the medlin payroll software about a week ago. I bought and installed it and am using it now for my clients....it was very easy to learn as you suggested.

Again, thank for the nice write up.

other tax boards?

I saw on your quickfinders post that you would be posting the same complaint to other tax boards.

Just wondering ... what boards do you use, and which do you find as useful as Tax Almanac?

Send me a fax # and I will fax you a copy; I prepped the case and negotiated with IRS to settle without court.

Stimulus payment with disaster relief extension

Did you ever find a DEFINITIVE answer regarding the disaster relief extension for Hurricanes Ike and Gustav regarding the stimulus payments? I haven't seen anything myself, but could be because Ike hit Texas, my clients and I weren't affected!!

Fixed a typo

Happy Tax, I took the liberty of correcting a minor typo in your post to the "Factors" discussion. The first factor in your example should be 0.0125etc. rather than 0.0115etc. All of your calcs were correct, so I figure that was just a slip.

Dear Happy Tax, please do help me! I saw that you helped somebody to calculate the interest on the late payment. I urgently have to do the same and the client is Californian (I still don't know if we have to use the Federal rates or the state rate) - we're doint the OVDI 2011 disclosure for him. Please tell me if something can be done. Will be awfully grateful.
