Hello, my name is Bill Teague and I go by the nickname IPC-Editor.

I am an Intuit employee who edits two newsletters, Intuit® ProConnection® and QuickBooks ProAdvisor®. Feel free to contact me directly if you'd like at my e-mail address of IPC-Editor@Intuit.com.

Currently in Intuit ProConnection we publish monthly tax practice articles that are agnostic as to software -- things like how to claim deductions on the 2006 1040 that came through after the forms were printed. This relates to

  1. The optional itemized deduction for state and local sales taxes.
  2. The above-the line deduction for higher education tuition and fees.
  3. The above-the-line deduction for educator expenses.
