Hello, my name is Howard Schubert and I go by the nickname HowardS. I am a non-CPA, non-EA tax preparer Registered Tax Return Preparer. I hold an MBA from Virginia Tech with a concentration in accounting and finance. I have been preparing taxes professionally for 11 years, 3 years with H&R Block and 8 years in my own business. I never pursued a CPA out of college because my job as an IBM engineer paid very well and I HATE audits/compliance. My hobbies are golf and reading tax manuals for enjoyment...very sick. I consider myself to be a very competent tax pro but humble enough to ask for advice and counsel when needed.
