I'm a CPA in North Carolina. I mainly do individual taxes although I do have a couple of S-Corps. I enjoy tax planning for people so they can reduce their taxes. I've been a CPA since March 1988. I started working as a public accountant in December 1983.

In the 1990's I worked for Microsoft doing product support for Excel and then FoxPro/Visual FoxPro for 8.5 years until February 2000. I didn't do accounting for Microsoft, just product support. Therefore, I am very comfortable with computers and software. I did income taxes on the side while at Microsoft.

Since 2000, I have been working on my farm and doing tax returns during tax season and any other time of the year that clients need me.

I am use QuickBooks for my S-Corp clients. I'm not a ProAdvisor but am getting fairly comfortable with QB.
