Hello, my name is John McGovern and I go by the nickname JohnMcG329. I am a CPA at a regional public accounting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area called RINA Accountancy Corp. I have been in public accounting for 3 years in both the audit and tax areas but am now focusing primarily on tax.

I have an undergraduate degree from Georgetown and an MBA from the Univeristy of San Francisco. I was formerly a Marketing Director for two NASDAQ firms managing marketing campaigns, budgets, and returns on investment. It was very numbers driven and strategic in nature. After I was pushed into the advertising side of things (during the dot-com and telecom busts), I decided it was time to make a change.

I am actively seeking a specialization that I can call my own. Real Estate and Trusts/Estate Planning are two areas of current focus, but that can change.
