My name is Pete and I am a CPA and an auditor (in Houston, TX) with essentially no tax experience (I've done a couple of returns for friends who are sole proprietors). I hope to someday moonlight as a tax preparer, but I'm stil trying to figure out if I can do this on my own by taking cpe, doing research, reading all of your posts, etc. I've recently transitioned from public accounting to industry, so I don't have the resources that I would have had in my former workplace. I know starting from scratch could be a stretch, but if I can just start off with a few basic returns........

Anyhow I would love to be able to help people with tax issues, and maybe make a couple of dollars while I do it.
