Hello, my name is Don Petty and I go by the nickname Bryce2k9. I have joined this forum to ask a question concerning my aunt who recently passed away. I am 59 years old, have a BBA in business admin with a major in accounting. After serving in the Army from 1974 to 1976 I entered the work force as an accountant. I have worked for public and private companies, most of whom were audited annually by CPA firms. Later I worked for myself for a short while, outside of accounting, then worked as a bookkeeper/pharmacist tech for about 10 years. I worked for Jackson Hewitt in 2004 and 2005 and had the highest class average for both years [big whup], the last year as both a tax preparer and manager before going to work full time as a bookkeeper/accountant for a wholesale/retail western boot company until the end of 2006. I have had difficulty with depression and what has been diagnosed as bi-polar over the years. That helps explain my inability to work for a large part of the last 12 years.

I have been married for 31 years and have a wonderful, fantastic, great looking son who is almost 25. I've lived in or near Wichita FAlls, TX for 57 of my 59 years. My definition of success has been modified over the years. My definition is: Fall down 7 times, get up 8.

If you'd like to leave me a message, just select the discussion tab at the top of this page.

Thank you!
