I just had a call from Intuit Technical Support regarding e-filing problems, if any, last week. I had not complained, but it sounded like they are calling all their customers.

I received a "toll-free" call yesterday, but I didn't answer the phone. It could have been Intuit. But, yesterday afternoon, I ordered a Lacerte evaluation CD at the intuit.com site and received it today by noon...from Texas to Michigan. Although I wasn't impressed with the online evaluation of Lacerte (compared to ProSeries), I was impressed with the speed of delivery of the demo CD. I'm sure I'll stick with ProSeries (too old to change now), but I was curious to see how Lacerte worked.

Does Lacerte have a way of emailing clients when a return is accepted by IRS/STate???

Just got a call today too. They are going to pay for the cost of postage for returns I paper-filed because of worries of not being able to e-file.

I have used Lacerte for years. Yes, they do inform you when a clients tax return has been accepted. There is also a letter to print out stating such that I give to each client with their package. The acceptance is generally 24 hours later. They also tell you if it was rejected and the reason so it can be easily corrected.

Thanks CPA. Ya, pro series does that to but does not directly email the client. That would be nice :::))))

I also received a call from Lacerte this morning. They were just checking to see if I experienced any problems, etc. It was a nice follow up to their emails.

Just curious, has anyone had any other problems with any Intuit online transactions? I've been doing direct deposit for several years for several clients and got an email this week that the DD did not go through, with a letter that Intuit included where they took complete blame. First for me though I don't think I had any efiling issues (I hope, I hope, I hope!).
