At 8am I am looking at the list of tax questions, which shows that I answered one five minutes ago, which was more like one minute. The next question was answered an hour ago, though that was more like four minutes. Everything after that was answered 3 Months Ago. I knew Tim was slacking off, but...................

And by the time I posted this, the gremlins were gone and all was back to normal, but I really did see it, I swear. Why's the rum always gone?

DT - I was up early this am and wondered - what the heck is going on "3 months ago"

Knew it was Tim's April 1 joke

I wish it was July 4th

Postings are showing as 4 July 2007 (in the future) and most recent post is alternating between three months and two days ago.

We were wondering where Tim had run off to. Now we know!

I noticed too - July 4th - I hope to be relaxing by the water somewhere, can't wait - what a cruel joke

Pretty funny. Now if the date was actually April 18th, would any of us be posting here?

Quite funny actually. I know I was here just 12 hours ago, but my last post said 2 days ago. LOL.

We've all passed through a time warp and have entered [cue the music: dodododododo] The Twilight Zone.

You know, I had originally thought my prior post was 3 months ago, then I came back and edited it to 3 days ago, now it is 3 months ago again. I need some more of my The Macallan, but it is only 11:15 here in my Eastern time/date zone. I think.

the timing of posts makes the forum hard to follow - also, my bookmarks are no longer in place & I keep having to log in & I was having trouble posting

At some point last night, perhaps due to the original daylight savings time change date, or perhaps due to some systems maintenance last night, the dates on two TaxAlmanac servers were incorrectly set to 7/4 and 4/3. This obviously caused havoc with the display of the discussions as the time periods were calculated. We're looking into why this happened so we can ensure that it doesn't happen again.

For the 30 discussion topic pages that were affected, I have made a minor edit to each, to set the last edit date to today's date. This should cause them to start sorting normally (otherwise they would have stayed at the top of the list until July 4th, or until someone edited them again). This means that many discussions will show me to be the last editor, but this should go away as more of you edit these topics.

One remaining issue is the edit history for these pages. The edit history is sorted chronologically, so for these 30 pages, the most recent edit may not actually be listed at the top of the history tab. Please keep this in mind if you are one of the few who uses the history.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and please let me know (via my talk page) if you notice any other strangeness today.
