Just wondering what software you guys recommend for tax planning purposes? I use Proseries and I'm not thrilled with the Tax Planner that comes with it. What's your preference?

Back to Basics has a very reasonable, no frills product. Here's their website http://www.btb-tax.com/. You can download it & try.

I've used it successfully for very basic planning.

Do you have a copy of Tax Tools; there is a basic planner in it.

BNA is supposed to have the best. They have one for individuals, and for estates. Last time I looked, it was pretty expensive. Stangely enough, TaxWise has some kind of deal worked out with BNA, I cant remember the terms, but it sounded pretty good to me. Whether TaxWise will continue to offer this after CCH now owns it, I don't know.
