How come I get results for s. 1015 of the Internal Revenue Code by typing "1015" into the search box but nothing comes up if I type "61" or "102?"

Unfortunately, the default behavior for the software that TaxAlmanac is built on (named MediaWiki) is to only index 'words' with four or more characters. This is why you can search for and find 1015 but not two or three digit section numbers. We're aware of this problem and are looking into ways in which we can make this type of search easier. In the meantime, you can get to these code sections from the Subtitle A Index page. Thanks for mentioning this - we very much appreciate your feedback!

Thank you - the TaxAlmanac team has put a lot of time and effort into the site, so your comments are very much appreciated. We know there's plenty that can be done to make it better, so anything you can tell us about how well it is or isn't meeting your needs, the better. While we have our own thoughts about what's most important to work on, your feedback really helps us to make sure we're working on the things that'll make the biggest difference for you and the other users.

I tried code section search using the Subtitle A Index page; however, IRC 199 (dealing with new maufacturing deduction) does not appear.

I just checked the Subtitle A page and section 199 is there. I did find that the full index page had not been properly updated, so I have removed it from the primary index. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. If you're still having problems finding it, here's a link to Section 199.

Thanks,
