That's what I think as well, but I haven't been able to find anything under Sec. 32(i) that says it's not.

San Diego, you are looking at the wrong subsection. Look at 32(c)(2). Since the distributive share of S corporation income is not subject to SE tax and is not treated as taxable wages, such income cannnot be earned income.
