Hi,

I am new to this site and I would like confirmation that I am correct that a rents paid by a business directly to a property management company shoud be issued to the Property Management company, which by the way is not incorporated. The Property Management at the end of the year gives the landlord a 1099 and they are telling me that the 1099 shoulb be issued to the landlord and not to them, which I don't agree.

Thank you.

I agree with you. The rents paid directly to the XYZ sole proprietorship should receive the 1099.
