We're trying something new today. Many TaxAlmanac members have noted that the Tax Questions Discussion Forum has been receiving quite a few questions from non-professionals who are looking for free tax advice. I've just implemented a new page which is displayed when someone selects the link to ask a new tax question. This page explains that the forum is designed for tax professionals.

What do you think about this? Leave us your feedback below.

Thank you!

I have an idea. How about if the viewers have the ability to rate the thread based on the content. Example: 1-Basic, 2-Intermediate, 3-Advanced. Or some other system. A viewer should only be allowed to rate an individual thread once.

The main page for the forum will show the average rating next to the number of views. Then each new viewer can choose to ignore certain threads based on this rating.

We should also be able to use this rating when we perform Advanced Searches.

Love the new message page! Beautiful. Doesn't preclude invdividuals but discourages them... Terrific.
