I've printed out the directions, and followed every one of the steps, but when the K-1 gets to the 1040 and I should be accepting the transfer at that point, there is no data to import. Their offices are closed and I'd sure like to finish this return. Can anyone help?

type in manually....cant be more difficult than trying to resolve a technical bug

Action Jackson, By now I am sure you have manually input the K-1 info. Can't tell you why. Did you try doing the Export from the S-Corp/Partnership module--Tools menu. Confirm the SSN.

I never use that feature anyway. I always enter all K-1's manually. Quick and easy.....

Michael, I said that every year. Tried it this year kicking & screaming and fell in love. Really helps out with Basis information.

GLMP, I figured out what your name stands for.

Found it at http://www.acronymfinder.com

Don't tell JAD, but her name stands for "Just Another Dungeon "

I'd rather be a dungeon than groundwater

I did enter the K-1 basic stuff manually, I just want to get a handle on where these people stand, they have been bugging me all season as to whether they are getting a refund, but they are dragging their feet getting me stuff. I still need their GE Tax booklet, and some new questions answered. They are getting the PIA charge of the season. I'll call Lacerte on Monday and see what's going wrong. All my other K-1's have transferred without a problem.

Hey! What did I ever do to you? Name stands for Jessica, former last name, current last name. And btw, if I'm going to be an acronym, at least you could make me a dragon and not a dungeon.

And also btw, if you have time to look for acronyms, you aren't busy enough.

So what is PVV...Paul what what?

And Glmpllc...you too?

BTW Action, I have had some problems too w/ the transfer. Most worked, a couple didn't. I entered the info, didn't give it a second thought.

Ok so you posted while I was typing...shall we refer to you as Potato?

and Jessica....there's nothing wrong with dungeons, nothing at all

Ah hah! GLM it is. OK, so I went back to acronym finder, and here's what I got:
  • If you're a woman then it is "Good Looking Mom"
  • If you're a man it is "Gay Latin Male
  • If you're a disease it is "Gastric Leiomyoma"

If you don't like any of those, then you are stuck with "Gastric Longitudinal Muscle"

Perhaps you wanna go back to Groundwater?

Glmpllc (talk|edits) said:

...not female, neither gay nor latin...have never been called a disease (unless you consider an addiction to be a disease)...so I guess Gastric Longitudinal Muscle will have to be it

lol!

you forgot, "not that there's anything wrong with that"

back to original question. I was importing a K-1 in proseries yesterday. Been doing it all tax season, no problem. Yesterday one wouldn't import. Turns out we had wrong social security number on k-1 for client I knew was there. Check SS#.
