Client has Gross MD income in excess of filing requirement (but an overall MD loss). Lacerte won't print out 505 and I don't see how I can force it. Any suggestions?...or will I have to fill it out manually. thanks

Call lacerte tech support. They might be able to help. They do always try.

I had a MD 505 for client last year and it worked ok (in lacerte), although I had to go to a round about approach to get the allocation amounts correct.

Lacerte will usually show forms on screen whether it thinks you need them or not, if you click on each individual form on the forms list along the left. You can then hit print in the upper right corner of the form. Obviously, this is more of a nuisance than just telling the computer to print a return. I agree you should call technical, although their efforts aren't always successful.
