Have you all been made aware of the article in the Advertiser last week about the state freezing refunds until they complete an investigation of illegal tax preparation on the part of individuals and preparers?

Also know that there is a law on the books which requires the state to pay 8.5 % interest if refund is not issued within 8 weeks of the filing of the return. Just thought you all would like to know why you are getting so many inquires from clients who have not received their refund. taxea
