Has Hawaii adopted the federal law regarding write off of organizational costs up to $5,000 in the first year?

I believe the answer is "Yes", Hawaii conforms to federal law here.

Wonderful! Thank you, Bengoshi! It's odd that the announcement did not come up on the Hawaii's tax website when I did a search for organizational expenses.

You're welcome Natalie. I also don't know why the search didn't turn up the announcement. I just figured since the fed change occurred in 2004, Hawaii would announce its conformity in 2005. I also tried looking at HRS 235, but those sections are so confusing I just couldn't decipher it w/out actually spending a lot of time on it.
