It is common to have to tip out during large events such as a charity ball. For example, the maitre d' is often not covered in the hotel contract. That might be a $100 tip.

And hotel staff often help with loading and unloading of equipment and supplies. Those are multiple tips to multiple unknown people that add up.

For charitable events valet services may be donated but the valet staff still needs to be tipped. With over 100 cars parked, the tips can be over $100.

What are the strategies to meet the accountable plan rules that require receipts and detail explanations. I am hoping some of you have already seen this in your practice and advised solutions. I think the organization often takes petty cash to distribute as needed and the documentation afterwards is not sufficient.

Any ideas are appreciated.
