Client brought a pay stub in from the water company. The w2 shows $1434 in california income. The company states the it is added incomefor calif. when you include your children ages 22 to 26 on your policy. I cant find anything in Ca laws regarding this. Has anyone else come across this?

Similarly for California purposes the self employed health insurance deduction may not include the cost of insurance for adult children under age 27. Also a taxpayer may not take a medical deduction on Schedule A for the cost of insurance paid for the adult child.California is "a drift" with all the non-conformity issues.
