Do you swallow or do you spit it out?

| So I'm eating some sunflower seeds and the bag says 'Eat. Spit. Be Happy.'
But to tell you the truth, I wasn't spitting out the hulls, I was swallowing them. They are quite salty and I figured I needed a little extra fiber at my age. Do swallowers have less fun than spitters? Who else swallows the sunflower hull and who spits them out? Inquiring minds want to know. | |

| I think it depends on a couple of factors - how old you are and where you are. If you are a teenager and in school, I'm sure the spitting option will get you detention (at least it did where I went to school). If you are a grown up, then the options are pretty limitless and depend more on who is expected to clean up the spit out shells. Frankly, I'd rather have the ones that have already been shelled, it's easier, faster, tastier and not so messy. | |
