Okay, here's some stuff to brighten your day.

First: For those with kids, this guy wrote this little ditty to Pachelbel's Canon in D. It's an absolute classic in my book. It's self explanatory.

Second:

As I have mentioned, I play drums in a pipe band. My grandfather played and my dad plays the pipes and they followed military bands for years, so I have a passing interest in them. I found a video on YouTube of the New Zealand Army Band that is quite entertaining. Not your typical military band by any stretch of the imagination. Fun to watch, you will recognize some of the music and they also do a traditional Haka. This comes from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo held annually in Scotland during August.

Enjoy!

Natalie,

Since you are out in the Pacific, I figured you might enjoy seeing the Kiwis. I was quite entertained watching them. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and it's long, but it breaks up the routine.

But the guy in the first video about his kids captures it all perfectly in my book.

Yes, the Dad. I was cracking up. Then at the end I had tears in my eyes. The marchers were great, but I only watched the first couple of minutes or so.

Watch the band when you have some free time. It is worth it. There is some funny stuff throughout. My daughter loves it.

The Dad is just great as I said. It does choke you up at the end.

Thanks Tao. I get interested in things I'm not even interested in when I'm trying to avoid work! lol. I'll read any article, clean any room, DO anything but what needs doing.
