For those of us over 40 approaching half-a-century (like me), we remember exactly what we were doing tonight when this astonishing feat occurred:

It's simply the greatest human technological achievement ever.

It's amazing to think we did it with the technology we had at the time.

If you want to listen to it as it happened, check out this link. It's really neat:

I was "Down the shore" and stopped at my parents on the way home. I asked my mother, a woman of hearty Italian peasant stock, what she thought of the moon landing.

"It was out of this world."

David, that's pretty funny.

I just remember being parked in front of the television watching it with excitement. My whole family was up and it was just so neat to watch.

Somewhere I am sure my dad kept The Washington Post from that day. I have to ask him, but he always keeps historic newspapers. That would definitely be one he kept.

There was also another famous event today. Anyone remember that event?

I will give you a clue: it was a car wreck.

Sorry, Southpark. Wrong time of year.

But you can take a stab at the second question.

"I just want to say that I strongly support the stimulus bill so that we can get these bridges fixed." A certain Senator, from his hospital bed, during the 2009 Stimulus Act Debate.

I knew David would get it.

That's a good one Crow.

I heard Ted Kennedy's going to have a triathlon in honor of the 40th Anniversary of Chappaquiddick. The three events are:

Drink, drive, and swim.
