I was inspired by CrowJD's posting of health information that we should all be aware of. I ran across this today: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41520595/ns/health-sexual_health/?GT1=43001

SOMEBODY might find it as useful as I have.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a false positive and take some frikkin' antibiotics for it than have a false negative and end up like this:

Good news - modern version is less gross:

Do what they did in the old days and just take mercury. It's harder to buy now but if your kid is in college, he might be able to pick up some from the chemistry lab.

If anyone is interested, there will be a lecture on the subject at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in PA on February 22, 2011. It covers it's use in Japan but it was used in Europe as well.

Get your mercury before a possible stampede if we have a pandemic. Just put some under your tongue and swallow it down with orange juice or Tang.

Do they still put mercury drops in newborn babies eyes if their mothers have syphilis?
