Has any body having trouble efiling income taxes with unemployment compensation federal tax witheld. I do. Gives error says not eligible for efile unlike last year there were no problems efiling these type of income taxes. i use proseries. any feedback

I think there are some entries on the ProSeries message board about a glitch with this. I don't recall details, but I seem to remember that these returns (ones with FITW through unemployment) might be held up until late February. I really can't recall specifics though.

Why aren't Proseries users informed of these glitches through email alerts? It's still a week or so early for my clients to start dropping by so I haven't been processing anything. Thanks for the heads up.

The post says the program will be patched on 1/21/08, but we'll have to wait and see. Overall ProSeries is decent about making good on its promises to fix little glitches like this. It would be better if they didn't occur or if we could find out about them from the company rather than through other users and trial-and-error, but once the problems are identified, ProSeries actually is good about fixing them.
