| I have a client selling his "book of business". The book was never recorded as an intangible asset. When recording the sale what is the correct date to list as the date in service? | |

I assume this "book of business" is a customer list or similar that has been developed over a numbre of years? If so, I should think that the "acquisition date" would be the date be started the business. | |
