Not sure this belongs with Earnest, but for anyone with clients receiving recoveries from brokerages because of the actions of brokers should check out letter ruling PLR 200724012 for good advice on how to handle such.

no, Earnest didn't have any IRAs or brokerage accounts. He had a hard enough time keeping track of his misplaced deposits.
