| Ohio has a level of local taxation that here in Wisconsin we do not have, so want to be sure I got this right. Although the W-2 reports taxable income in Columbus of 14,559, Box 1 of the W-2 states 16,771 and Box 5 states 18,634 with no corresponding amounts in Box 12, so presumably the diff between box 1 and 5 is pretax healthcare. I'm confused which amount I need to use on the Columbus return (IR-22 or IR-25).
Second question on RITA, and for the most part I think I have this figured out correctly, but from speaking with a RITA representative, I was lead to beleive for RITA that Box 5 wages is always used. Is this what other Ohio preparers are doing? MANY MANY MANY THANKS FOR RESPONDING! | |
