Greetings fellow Tax and Accounting professionals. My username is "Omega1911" and I like to consider myself a tax professghional w/ a MAS slant. My professional background includes (8) years at the IRS (Tax Examiner in the Accounts Mgmt. Branch) doing both Business and Individual Master File(s), positions in private industry as business developer and Controller, and currently self-employed providing tax preparation, consultation/advice and MAS in the areas of finance, tax compliance issues and general business strategy. Undergrad was at Penn State University majoring in Bus. Administration. My combined years of experience (IRS & Private Business) is 18 years. I am a big proponent of hands-on work combined with the proper research. I like the learning environment the MAS industry can provide for you. I deal with small- to mid-size companies in the areas of construction, computer software, Employment Servicess/Temporary Staffing, transportation and real estate. There are always challenges and once you become intimate with the client's objectives, personnel, operations, etc., the learning never stops. I still try to keep up on the basic tax issues affecting the larger C Corps, LLC's, Partnerships, etc., but my everyday thrust is the $1 million to $50 million revenue producers. I am looking forward to interacting with the many talented professionals on this site.
