Hi,

A single member LLC was formed in Texas and now the owner wants to admit another member. Owner wants to continue with the same EIN.

Do we need to file another Form SS-4 showing the company as parntership for tax purposes and request to issue the same EIN?

Do we need to send any papers to TX state corporations division informing that new member is admitted to the LLC?

Help is highly appreciated, Siva

Siva, this does not answer your specific question, but do yourself a favor, and do a web search for Illinois Tax School and order their book on LLC's as partnerships (look on the PRODUCTS tab), it's one of the better books I've found on LLC 1065's, and good luck, see my post above on LLC frustrations.
