Hello,

I am a new member to this forum. I am a US CPA and a Canadian CGA. I think this forum has alot to offer to the tax professional and I look forward to learning from the other members!

Hi, and welcome to TaxAlmanac!

One small point - your user name is kinda long, and since it's in all caps it's likely to stretch out the "creator" column in the index of the tax forum. Of course, today the "creator" column is already stretched out by some guy using his e-mail address as a user name, and your name isn't so long that it would stretch out the "last poster" column too much. Anyway -

If you wouldn't mind, maybe create a new account with this name in lower case after the first letter? That way, you'll be sure that you won't contribute to any forum index formatting problems in the future. Thanks!

Thanks, Trillium. I did just that - my username is Caltacc now. Question though. How do I get rid of the first profile?

Thank you!

We can't delete the old user name completely, so it'll just sit dormant. You can blank out the profile by clicking on the CALTACGACPA name above in this discussion, then clicking on the edit tab, and removing the text (highlight all the text and hit the delete key). You could even add a note that that user name has been replaced by Caltacc, if you like, or just leave it blank since you don't intend to use it. And you can do all that while still signed in as Caltacc, too.
