This is probably a very easy question, but I just can’t think of the proper description. I am doing a final return for a C-Corp and zeroing out the balance sheet. I have a negative retained earnings and I am doing an M2 adjustment to zero it out. I am not sure what description I should use. Any suggestions?

It doesn't need to be zero.

I like the term 'Fudge Factor'

Or WITTB (what it takes to balance)

How about "to close account"?

Does some rule about periods and quote marks also apply to question marks?

lol

Now I know I have had it.

How about "transfer sufficient capital to close deficit in retained earnings"?

"Does some rule about periods and quote marks also apply to question marks [and quote marks]?" Yes, some rule, but not the same rule.

The answer to the other question is "plug." Except in Britain it's "plug".
