Hi,

I was recently laid off from a small CPA firm.

I was wondering if it's OK for me to contact former clients to let them know that I'm no longer with the firm and to inquire if they know of any job opportunities.

My relations with my former job are excellent and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize the relationship.

Cheers.

I don't see any problems with contacting your former clients just to network and see if they know of someone that's hiring. However, if you are trying to freelance and get THEIR business, that's a whole different story.

Thanks for your opinion.
