I have a client who received a W-9. I have never saw one before. My question is, what is a W9, what is it used for, and how is it reported on Form 1040 or does it have to go on Form 1120/s?

Slap myself on the head... just completed the "Employment Taxes" course. Should've known what the form was before I asked.. AEM and Death as soon as I clicked on the link I knew exaclty what it was and why it's used.
