| Example. I was assigned by my employer to work in their branch office in France for 1 year. The cost of obtaining the French work visa was completely deductible as an employee business expense.
Similarly, if a UK subject comes to the U.S. on an H1B visa for a year, the cost of obtaining that work visa is also an ordinary and necessary business expense. | |
