This is a great slide show, and demonstrates that tax evasion is a world-wide hobby of many.

I did wonder about Joe Lewis and others from that era.

Your link is just celebrities. My personal nominee for chutpah in tax fraud is this one:

He was ultimately sentenced to 15 years which is astounding.

Carter is sooooooooooo Philadelphia, a City of inbred people. I was born there, grew up there, my business was and is partially still there, but would not trust any high mucky muck there.

Here are more: http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/stories/2007/11/26/daily25.html

http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/stories/2006/01/16/daily47.html (I had a restaurant reviewer client who adored this man's restaurants)

http://www.northeasttimes.com/2007/0125/stripclub.html These guys are not exactly upper crust but here the accountant goes down too.

The city also has been a home to many with the propensity to create edifices that are houses built of cards.
