| Hi,
It is great that you allow other sites to copy your content, but may I ask, why do you require attribution? In particular, could you kindly license the text of your MediaWiki message namespace, like the revhistory message from Special:Allmessages, in the public domain so that I can add it to the http://roguebasin.t-o-m-e.net wiki? Cheers, Jason

| Jason:
The attribution is how we encourage people to participate on the site without having them feel that their contributions will be used by others for profit. At the same time, we want the community to be able to use the information on the site to serve their clients. We think the attribution strikes a balance with free use vs. abuse. I regret that I am unable to grant you special license for the content which you mentioned. - Tim Doyle, TaxAlmanac Moderator 09:54, 26 May 2006 (CDT)
