We have a client who changed the trustee on their Irrevocable Trust. The IRS continues to send information to the old trustee. What is the best way to correct this?

When a trustee resigns and is replaced who should be contacted at the IRS?

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try using form 56.

I have had success in the past just checking the "Change in Fiduciary" box on the frnt of the 1041
